Share your expertise at Temple’s Alumni Professional Development Conference  

Temple Alumni Career Services is seeking dynamic presenters for the 2027 Alumni Professional Development Conference. If you have expertise that can help fellow Temple alumni grow professionally, navigate career transitions or build new skills, we encourage you to submit a breakout session proposal.

Conference Tracks

Job Search and Career Navigation 
Help alumni navigate career transitions, strengthen their job search strategies and position themselves for professional success. Past sessions on this track have included 

  • Job Search Strategy, 
  • Salary Negotiation and Budgeting, and 
  • Succeeding on the Job.  

Professional and Personal Growth and Development 
Help alumni develop leadership skills, strengthen professional effectiveness and navigate personal and career growth. Past sessions on this track have included 

  • Going from Contributing to Leading, 
  • Managing Burnout and Finding Balance, and 
  • How to Have Hard Conversations.  

Presenter Information

  • Presenters must be Temple alumni or current Temple students.  
  • No direct pitches about a personal business or services should be included in the presentation beyond any biographical or contextual remarks.  
  • Selected speakers will receive a small honorarium of $500 in recognition of their contribution for sharing their time and expertise. No additional travel or accommodation expenses will be covered or reimbursed.  

Additional Information

  • The conference is in-person only, with breakout audiences of approximately 20–50 attendees.  
  • Sessions are designed for a total of 60 minutes, including time for Q&A and any interactive elements.  
  • Sessions will not be recorded or livestreamed.  
  • All breakout spaces will have a projector, computer, and screen for slides and whiteboards for any collaborative needs.  
  • Attendees may be alumni from all class years and all schools or colleges at Temple, representing a wide range of industries, career stages and professional experiences.
