Mahim Siddiqui is a first-generation Temple grad from the Fox School of Business. Mahim currently works at Janney Montgomery Scott as a business development consultant where he aids advisors and other business partners in developing their advisory businesses. Prior to being president of Temple’s Young Alumni Association, Mahim served as the VP of External Affairs for the organization and is involved with other nonprofit organizations within Philadelphia. In his free time, Mahim enjoys cooking, hosting community events and Philadelphia sports teams.

Geya Bhimanapalli, 2021 graduate of the Fox School of Business, currently works at Deloitte on audit-related procedures with a data background. Geya started her Temple career in fall 2017 as a recipient of the Conwell Scholarship majoring in actuarial science with a minor in management information systems.  

Geya grew up in Exton, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Henderson High School. She was involved in many nonprofit organizations and served on the youth board for some of them. She still continues her work with a nonprofit organization, Asha Jyothi (AJ), and serves as a corporate citizenship advisor. Geya has always believed that education is an important resource that everyone should have access to; she works with AJ for children in India to receive financial help for education and basic necessities.  

During her time at Temple University, Geya held leadership positions and was involved in committees across the university such as Delta Delta Delta, Gamma Iota Sigma, Swipes for Philadelphia, Temple Graduation Ambassador and the Fox School of Business Dean’s Student Advisory Council. Being part of these organizations, Geya got involved in different areas at Temple and developed a unique perspective of the school. She had the chance to give back to the school and the community. Currently Geya is studying for exams and is not only involved in her career development, but also in giving back to the community through her work. She plans on going to graduate school to receive a PhD in the coming years.

Gary Lawery is a dedicated government administration professional currently serving as the deputy township manager in Willingboro. Gary, a 2021 College of Liberal Arts graduate from Temple University who attained a political science degree, brings a wealth of operational and organizational expertise to his role. His background includes valuable experience as a public relations aide, where he honed his skills in communications and relationship-building. Known for his charismatic and humorous approach, Gary is deeply committed to public service and authentic leadership. Inspired by philosophical concepts like Plato’s “allegory of the cave,” he strives to understand and address deeper societal issues. Gary’s passion for meaningful change drives him to seek higher levels of understanding and impact in all his endeavors. 

Alison (Ali) Wehr graduated from the Fox School of Business in 2019, where she studied marketing and business analytics. While at Temple, she was heavily involved in the Temple University American Marketing Association and graduated summa cum laude with completion of the University Honors Program. Ali previously served on the TUYAA board as a Director at-Large from 2020 to 2022. 

For the last 5 years, Ali has worked at QVC in consumer insights and analytics. In her current role as a senior business analyst, Ali assists the programming, digital and merchandising teams in driving viewership and revenue for QVC’s broadcast. While at QVC, she obtained an MS in marketing through Drexel University, at which she was able to take courses to enhance her understanding of consumer behavior and statistical concepts. 

In her spare time, Ali enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring Philadelphia, reading, volunteering and fitness/wellness.

Hima Bhimanapalli graduated cum laude from the Temple University College of Liberal Arts in May 2024. Since then, she has moved into the insurance field and currently works as an underwriter at Chubb Insurance. During her time at Temple, Hima volunteered for several nonprofits both in Philadelphia and India. As a member of this board, she hopes to help grow Temple’s reputation and connect future alumni with the community.

Alexandra (Lexi) Butz works as an investment management analyst for global law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP where she assists managing attorneys in overseeing the compliance processes for more than 40 mutual funds, ensuring adherence to the governing rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Butz has a deep passion for the law and a strong commitment to advocacy, which she nurtures through her volunteer work with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Philadelphia. In her role with CASA, Butz is appointed by a judge to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children who have been removed from their homes or placed in the foster care system. She works to advocate for these children’s needs and well-being, representing them in court and ensuring their voices are heard.
 
During her time at Temple University, Butz earned her bachelor of arts in journalism from Klein College of Media and Communication, graduating in 2021. While at Temple, Butz was actively involved in campus life, serving as the vice president of membership development for her sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon, and was a tutor at the Nancy & Donald Resnick Academic Support Center for Student-Athletes. She was also a member of the Pre-Law Society and the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, and received a Judicial Clerkship internship with the Honorable R. Barclay Surrick.
 
Butz is currently studying for the LSAT and has plans to apply to law school in the near future. She is also extremely eager to get more involved in TUYAA by being a director at-large and is excited to help the young alumni of Temple to get more involved!

Sacha Downes is both a 2022 CLA graduate with a bachelor of arts in political science and alum of Temple University Rome. Sacha works currently as a fundraising professional, and runs a consulting startup where she helps new entrepreneurs locate diverse funding sources to advance their business goals. She combines her education in politics and experience in fundraising to educate young leaders on how to engage philanthropic community interests to fund both their personal and professional goals.
 
As a West Philly native, Sacha is passionate about causes such as global education, youth advocacy through sports and affordable housing. When she is not working, she is either updating her playlist collection, making pasta from scratch or hiking the trails at Fairmount Park. Before completing her degree at Temple, Sacha attended the Philadelphia High School for Girls and is currently pursuing Certified Public Accounting (CPA) eligibility with a Certificate in Accounting from Montgomery County Community College.

Marty is a two-time alum of Temple University, holding a bachelor of business administration in human resource management with a minor in marketing and a master of education in adult and organizational development. She is currently a sourcing specialist at Pep Boys. During her time at Temple, Marty worked at Morgan Residence Hall and as a TA for Operations Management at the Fox School of Business. She was an active member of TUSHRM, contributing as an e-portfolio consultant and Marketing Committee member. Marty also held leadership roles on the Fox Mentorship Program E-Board. Outside of academics, Marty was involved in HootaThon and was a dedicated member of the Cherry Crusade throughout her undergraduate years. Continuing her commitment to Temple University, she continues to volunteer at various Temple events, supporting prospective students and fostering community connections. Marty’s academic excellence, professional acumen and commitment to community engagement reflect her dedication to the Temple University community.

Ben Hamilton is a lifelong Philadelphian and third-generation Temple Owl. A 2023 graduate from the Fox School of Business, Ben began his career in development and alumni relations at the University of Pennsylvania in 2022. As the administrative coordinator of the Penn Spectrum Programs and Alumni Leadership Pipelines, he works to foster and maintain alumni engagement and develop equitable pipelines for alumni leaders from all lived experiences. 

The focus on community development is very much aligned with Ben’s plans to develop innovative approaches to closing the national wealth gap and improving environmental conditions. To deepen his knowledge of social impact, Ben is studying to earn his master’s degree from Penn’s School of Social Policy & Practice.
 
Prior to his current position, Ben spent time working in facilities management at the Germantown Cricket Club. He earned his associate’s in applied sciences in construction management from the Community College of Philadelphia.

Zhaibri Jeffries currently serves as the director of development for athletics at the University of Delaware, where he leverages his expertise to drive financial support for institutional and athletic advancement. Zhaibri attended Temple University’s Fox School of Business where he earned his bachelor of business administration in marketing in 2017, followed by an MSc in sports management from Southern New Hampshire University, including several professional certifications through Indiana University’s Lilly School of Philanthropy. Zhaibri is passionate about promoting sustainable growth and creating impactful opportunities within the higher education and collegiate sports landscape.

While at Temple, he was involved in several organizations including the Omega Delta Delta Chapter of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., the Sports Marketing Association of Temple University (SMAT), Temple University American Marketing Association (TU-AMA) and the Black Student Union (BSU).

Since graduating from Temple University in 2017 Zhaibri’s career includes progressive roles at esteemed institutions such as Temple University, Villanova University and Ohio State University. For all of which Zhaibri has served as a philanthropic connector, engaging alumni and friends of the universities through time, talent and treasure. His passion for fostering relationships and driving financial support has allowed Zhaibri to make a meaningful impact in advancing institutional goals and supporting student-athletes dedicated to promoting growth and sustainability in the organizations he represents.

Carter Laatsch is a Temple graduate from the Fox School of Business. Carter currently works at Chubb as an excess casualty underwriter providing insurance solutions for large corporations in the energy industry. Passionate about the City of Philadelphia, he continues to look for volunteer opportunities to better serve the surrounding area. Outside of work, Carter enjoys reading science fiction, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, exploring restaurants across the city, and has found a new love for golfing. Carter’s eager to join the board and is looking forward to making an impact on the Temple community.

Nick Marland is a graduate from Temple University's Fox School of Business, earning a bachelor of business administration in finance. Since then, he has worked as a corporate account representative at CDW, where he focuses on delivering exceptional service and solutions to clients. This is Nick’s first year serving on the Temple University Young Alumni Board. Through this role, he aims to give back to the Temple community and support fellow alumni in their career endeavors. In his free time, Nick enjoys playing golf, attending concerts and comedy shows, and spending time with friends and family.

Jasmine Oyefusi is a communications professional from Baltimore, Maryland. In 2023 she earned her bachelor of arts degree in communication studies from the Klein College of Media and Communication. During her time at Temple University, Jasmine served as a peer educator with the Wellness Resource Center, front desk staff for Student Center Operations, and vice president of the National Honors Fraternity Phi Sigma Pi. Jasmine currently serves as the events and communications specialist for Temple University’s Wellness Resource Center. Her work focuses on promoting the office’s various programs and resources around Temple’s campus. In this role, Jasmine merges her communications background with her passion for supporting community well-being. Jasmine has a professional background in digital marketing and customer service. Outside of work she enjoys finding new ways to mindfully move her body, attending live music events and spending time with her cat, Rita.

Piri Pantoja graduated from Temple University with a degree from the College of Liberal Arts. During his time at Temple, he utilized the university’s resources to secure an internship in his junior year, which launched his career in the political and government field. Piri currently serves the Commonwealth at the Pennsylvania Department of State.

Jim Potts graduated from the Fox School of Business in 2021 with a concentration in marketing. Jim currently works as a marketing communications coordinator at the Haverford Trust Company, where he is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of all marketing, communications, and event programs and campaigns. He also is a key driver of Haverford Cares, which is the Haverford Trust Company’s employee-led community engagement initiative. 

Jim is pursuing his master of business administration degree from Eastern University, where he expects to graduate in fall 2024. In addition to serving as a director at-large for Temple’s Young Alumni Association Board, he also serves as a Young Professional Board member for Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley and is a member of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce’s Main Line run committee. 

Stephanie Ramirez-Porras graduated from Temple University with a degree in biology, concentrating in physician assistant studies. During her time at Temple, she was an honor member of the university's Pre-Physician Assistant organization. Currently, she works at an urgent care in Bucks County and at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Northeast Philadelphia. Stephanie's goal is to gain acceptance into a professional school to further her career in healthcare.
 
She chose Temple University for its rich diversity and strong community involvement, both of which significantly shaped her academic and personal growth. Being part of such an inclusive and dynamic environment fueled her passion for helping others and serving the community. As an enthusiastic member of Temple's Young Alumni Association, Stephanie is eager to give back to the school that played a crucial role in making her the person she is today.

Gabriella Sabwa is currently a community planner at Michael Baker International. With a passion for urban development and sustainable planning, Gabriella contributes to creating vibrant, inclusive communities. Outside of work Gabriella enjoys cooking from scratch, exploring new recipes, and sharing meals with friends and family. An avid reader, Gabriella loves immersing herself in diverse genres and gaining new perspectives. Additionally, she spends as much time as possible outdoors, whether it’s hiking, mountaineering or simply enjoying nature.

Nicholas Salerno, a legal assistant at Nochumson P.C. and human resources officer at the Connecticut Army National Guard, recently graduated from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. Nick majored in legal studies and minored in international business and military science. During his time at Temple, Nick was a member and leader of various roles of the Temple Army ROTC Program, professional development chair and vice president of Phi Alpha Delta, director of events of Temple Veterans Association, member of Dean's Student Advisor Council of the Fox School of Business, Tri-Alpha Society and Italian Club. Besides his leadership and membership, Nick worked in the Undergraduate Office of the Fox School of Business, Diamond Peer Teacher for Law for Business (LGLS 1112) and a peer teacher supervisor/course coordinator for Legal and Ethnical Reasoning in Business (BA 1103). In addition, Nick studied abroad at Temple’s Rome Campus in summer 2022 and completed two Fox Global Immersions to South Africa and the United Kingdom. Above all, Nick was selected as a 2024 Diamond Award Recipient, which is one of the highest undergraduate awards.

Tynecia Wilson, a proud West Philadelphia native with Caribbean roots, embraces her heritage and empowers others to do the same. A two-time graduate of Temple University, Tynecia recently earned her certificate in public relations and is now pursuing a graduate certificate in teaching in higher education. As the program coordinator for leadership and service at Temple, she organizes conferences and workshops that foster student leadership development and promote a commitment to service both on and off campus.

In addition to her professional role, Tynecia currently holds the title of Miss Philadelphia 2024. She is passionate about spreading the message of financial literacy across generations, emphasizing the vital connection between personal finances and overall well-being. Starting with her hometown, the City of Brotherly Love, Tynecia envisions a future where generational curses are transformed into generational wealth, with the potential to inspire change on a global scale.

Stephanie Zajac (She/Her/Hers) is the marketing and content coordinator for the Career Center. She graduated from Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication in May 2023 with her bachelor’s degree in both advertising and public relations. During her undergraduate time at Temple, Stephanie planned events for the Main Campus Program Board, interned at public relations firms in Philadelphia, and was president of the Temple University Improv Club. Stephanie is currently pursuing her MBA at the Fox School of Business.
 
In her free time, Stephanie enjoys riding her bike, singing and exploring the great outdoors.
