The Program at a Glance

Temple-sponsored student organizations are eligible for up to $250 in grant funding annually to sponsor or support an event or program with a Temple alumni component and focus.

The Alumni Relations Student Organization Grant Program supports student leaders who aim to connect and engage with alumni through volunteer efforts, panels, intentional networking events, community engagement workshops and more.

A limited number of grants are available each semester and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, provided applicants meet the minimum requirements and criteria.

How to Get an Alumni Grant for Your Student Organization

Student organizations must

• fill out the application form,
• have a FOAPAL to receive funds,
• submit a recap of the event with an attendee list and photos,
• review the Alumni Relations Student Grant Program presentation, and
• have a minimum of one STAR through Student Activities.

Note: If the event or program is canceled, student organizations are expected to return the funds to Alumni Relations within 14 days of the cancelation.

Timeline

• Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
• Applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the date of event or program.
• Alumni Relations team will review application within 5–10 business days of submission, following up with any questions if needed.
• Once approved, student organizations will receive funds in 10–14 business days after approval via FOAPAL transfer using the provided FOAPAL in the application.

Accepted For a Grant? What’s Next?

• Host an amazing program that connects to students and alumni.
• Share at least one photo/post on social during the event and tag @templealumni. 
• Complete the Recap Form within 7–10 business days of event.
