Every fall, alumni, families and friends are invited to return to Temple to show their Owl pride and celebrate Homecoming & Family Weekend. For one fun-filled week, the Temple community has the opportunity to participate in many student and alumni events, including spirit and athletic competitions, artistic performances and demonstrations, various alumni reunions and gatherings and the university’s biggest tailgate of the year.

Homecoming & Family Weekend events are held on and around Temple Main Campus, Ambler Campus and throughout the Greater Philadelphia region, including Lincoln Financial Field. See the Plan Your Trip page for parking details and driving directions.

Space permitting, non-registered walk-up attendees will be able to pay for individual events at the door. However, advance registration is strongly encouraged. All events have limited space, and ticketed events may sell out. In addition, registering in advance allows your classmates to know you’re coming back, makes your own planning easier and helps us prepare for your arrival so you can avoid lines at the entrance of each event.

Dress comfortably, especially for events that involve walking or time outdoors, such as Homecoming Tailgate Village and various sporting events. For special awards and recognition events, dress is business attire.

With the exception of thunder and lightning, Tailgate Village and the Temple football game will be held rain or shine. Please note that umbrellas aren’t permitted inside Lincoln Financial Field.

No, tickets to the Temple football game aren’t included in the Tailgate Village registration. A special discount exclusively for Temple alumni and families has been secured for the Temple Homecoming football game and can be used to purchase tickets online.

As a Temple alum and/or family member of a Temple Owl, you can purchase discounted tickets—starting at just $20! Please visit the Homecoming & Family Weekend Offer page to purchase your game tickets.

Fans are encouraged to limit the number of items they bring with them to the stadium. They will be permitted to carry one (1) of the following style and size bags into the stadium:

• Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12".
• One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
• Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand but not larger than 4.5" x 6.5", with or without a handle/strap. This small clutch bag may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.

An exception can be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection. Please contact Fan Services for more information at [click-for-email] prior to arrival.

Prohibited bags include but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage, seat cushions, computer bags, camera bags, binocular cases, or any bag larger than the permissible size.
